  1. I can’t speak to how over 1,300 people view their gambling (assuming they all do still gamble), but I guess for me it seems like a combination of reasons. First, GAMSTOP is so readily available, and free to any UK players. Although I would help anyone who posted on the forum asking for help with their gambling, as would most other forum members, I would hope that anyone who gets to a point where they consider posting publicly to admit that they have a problem would bypass that altogether and go straight to GAMSTOP for their own safety. We will never be able to offer a better level of help than GAMSTOP, GamBan or BeGambleAware. We’re also registered with GamBan so anyone who has signed up to block access to gambling sites won’t actually be able to access this site or the forum. It is unfortunate, as a lot of people have expressed concern as they wanted to join the forum discussions, and obviously there are no gambling activities available on this site, but Will and 2Jags both felt it better to err on the side of caution, especially with a big win gallery as you’ve noticed. All big wins go into the forum and I then move them to the gallery to make sure they go to the right place, and I’d say there’s probably only 100-150 unique posters? Each person who uploads a big win would usually have a few to upload, and some people have uploaded 10 or more, gathered up over the months where we didn’t have a very active forum. Some of the earlier ones were moved from the old site too (any from 2021). I’m not sure whether it would be considered better or worse for so many posts to come from a smaller group of people, but if we are comparing numbers I guess it’s important to factor in. I think gambling addictions will always be stigmatised, and a bit of a taboo topic, although they definitely shouldn’t be as they can affect everyone and anyone. But, like everything in life that can be destructive (for example alcohol) you will always find large numbers of people that can have a healthy relationship with it. Gambling problems affect so many, but there are also a great amount of people in control of their gambling. We leave the help topic open in case anyone does need help, and I just hope that as time goes on and people build relationships and a community feeling on the forum that they will feel more comfortable being open and honest regarding both present and past experiences. There are conversations behind the scenes too, and I know Will has messaged a few people based on posts he’s read on the forum to check in with them, and make sure they’re doing ok. I definitely think people feel more comfortable having these discussions in private, as no one likes to admit they’re struggling. We see a much larger amount of people coming forward to discuss being on GAMSTOP after the fact, like telling us the money they’ve saved, or how much happier they are. It’s always a bit easier to talk about once the problem is a bit further behind you. But I hope that we continue to progress to discuss all additions, disorders and problems openly and honestly - not just here, but in general.
  2. Love it! It's always good to get a decent bonus on the way to the heartstopper, a lot of the time it makes the heartstopper feel free!
  3. Awesome!
  4. This was forgotten about last night, but Will has just picked the winners and they are: @Dave5kids @Casscraw @rangerad (sorry rangerad I had spelled your name wrong on the wheel because I just skim read the thread) Will has a clip of him spinning the wheel so I’ll get him to upload that later, but well done guys! @2Jags will contact you to get your details to pass on to @4ThePlayer
  5. Wow! You never think that’ll happen - great hit
  6. Nice! I like this game 🙂
  7. Hey guys! So sorry, this ran on a bit long and hasn't been drawn yet. We want to draw it live on stream as that's the way we prefer to do things to ensure everyone knows it's all above board, so it will be drawn on Sunday's stream as there's no stream tonight or Friday. Once it's drawn we'll be giving 4ThePlayer the details and they'll get the goodie bags posted out ASAP. Thanks all for entering!
  8. For once the Congratulations screen is apt - awesome win. Cash it out, and spend it on something nice 🎉
  9. Hey Sab, Happy to see the new thread, but I am going to remove the names of the Crypto Casinos at least until Will or 2Jags can take a look and make a decision. I know some people are happy to gamble with crypto, and in particular a UKGC License doesn’t matter to rest of world players, but unfortunately the case is that some of these sites don’t accept UK players. They may allow UK players to sign up, though, and what could happen is that any balances or withdrawals may be forfeited if it turns out the player is UK, and I would be wary of anyone from this Forum signing up to one of these, having a bad experience, and then the word spreading that they found the casino on Hideous Slots forum as that would imply he endorses them. I think it’s great to discuss crypo in general though, I know a lot of people are interested in it or are considering investing!
  10. Winners are in! Total return: €5,163.70 1st Place (50 Amazon Voucher) @Ilovechips76 with a guess of 5,211 - 47.30 away 2nd Place (Hideous Slots T-shirt) @pat with a guess of 5,222 - 58.30 away 3rd Place (Hideous Slots T-shirt) @iainthetaximan with a guess of 5,000 - 163.70 away Well done! Message @2Jags and he'll sort it out for you guys. Sorry it took so long to sort too for everyone waiting!
  11. Ok result is in - looks like Jammin' already paid out as the balanced increased slightly (€8) and the bonus was gone, and Stacked Valentine Hearts paid a whopping 0x 😅 Returns: €3,213.71 at CasinoEuro & €1,949.99 at LeoVegas Total return: €5,163.70 I'm really busy today, but I'll figure the winners out later and tag them.
  12. Hey guys, for everyone waiting on the result Jammin’ Jars and Stacked Valentine Hearts still haven’t opened. Can check again later and hopefully they’ll open and we’ll have the result tomorrow. If not, they’ll pay out eventually cause they’ll expire so we’ll keep track of balance for the winner! Once I know I’ll update and tag the winners here
  13. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stop-Smoking-Now-Allen-Carr/dp/1848373732/ref=nodl_ My sister, brother in law and a few of their friends all quit by reading this book, although they were just casual smokers. I then bought my granda it last year and both he and my granny stopped after reading it, and they smoked for more than 50 years each. It’s helped millions of people worldwide and you’re encouraged to smoke while you read it, then quit at the end. Full disclosure though - I read it and didn’t stop. Everyone told me that when you read it something just changes and you no longer want to smoke. I maybe put too much pressure on it but I felt it was very “change your mindset and you won’t want to smoke” and it just didn’t work for me - maybe I’m too stubborn haha. Will also used to smoke, he used nicotine patches to quit, but I think if I tried again I’d try to quit cold turkey.
  14. Bonus Hunt tonight - opening at 10pm. Guess the return from the CasinoEuro and LeoVegas bonuses below. The closest guess will win a £/€50 Amazon voucher, and the next two closest guesses will receive Hideous Slots t-shirts. Guess the return of the below 13 bonuses: CasinoEuro (€6,400): Wild North: €6 Stacked Valentine Hearts: €6 (8 Spins) Terminator 2 : €10.50 Book of Oz: €5 Razor Shark: €10 Jammin' Jars: €6 (No Multipliers) Tome: €5 (6 Portal Effects) Pimped: €5 (1 line) Fire Toad: €5 Cyberslot: €5 (x5) Lil Devil Heartstopper: €4 LeoVegas (€1,500): Golden Glyph 2: €8 Baron Bloodmore: €10 There's €2,500 at PartyCasino to collect on stream, but you won't be guessing those. The CasinoEuro balance from Wednesdays finish had to be wagered anyway, so wagering is now completed. Total cost will be €6,400 at CasinoEuro, €1,500 at LeoVegas & €2,900 at PartyCasino, for a total of €10,800 😶 Update for anyone asking - bonuses not opening until 10pm now so another €3,200 in to Party for €14,000 total. Thread closes 9.45pm for bonus opening at 10pm. Good luck!
  15. Yeah I don’t like the withdrawal threshold checks. SOW is usually once you reach a much larger deposit threshold, and deposits & play will be stopped during a SOW check. KYC is due to AML laws, the same reason all casinos have a rule in place that deposits must be turned over (usually 1x) before withdrawal. I do feel whilst checking verification in line with money laundering, which holds up withdrawals, deposits should be stopped too. If it is so important to check I am who I say I am before I receive a withdrawal, you shouldn’t be prepared to accept my deposits either, in my opinion. There are casinos out there who allow you to submit documentation upon signing up, and there are casinos who can complete verification within an hour, as I’ve experienced both, and unfortunately now when people complain to me about the time wait for verification (unless it’s ridiculously long, like more than a week), or the threshold I just have to be harsh and say it is in the T&Cs, and that’s what they’re there for. I understand no one reads T&Cs, but that really isn’t the fault of the casino. They are there to be read, and they are agreed to upon sign up. And they are usually separated into different sections (Deposits, Withdrawals, Bonus, Verification etc) So if people read them, and choose not to sign up, fine. But if people don’t read them, the casino can’t be blamed.
  16. Although the UKGC do seem like a pain in the hole a lot of the time they offer the highest amount of player protection compared to licenses like Curacao. The best thing to do upon signing up at any Casino is to email support straight off the bat and ask to submit your KYC documents. If they say they’re not necessary yet, open the Terms and Conditions and search (Ctrl+F on Windows and Cmd+F on Mac) “documents” or “verification”. If there’s a threshold where documents are necessary, which there usually is, it will tell you in the T&Cs. That’s good for two reasons - 1. You’ll expect the email and expect the wait for the withdrawal but 2. If you’ve withdrawn £/€1,000 and the threshold is £/€2,000 and you’ve won quite a bit, you can place your withdrawal in two separate amounts, ensuring you get any money below the threshold before KYC checks, and then you just have a wait for the second part of it. SOW is trickier. My advice would be to always keep your documents in a file on your computer, so it’s just a few clicks when you are asked for them. If you’re someone who gambles regularly, a few times a week or more, then repeated deposits and withdrawals won’t stand in your favour. Players need to have the self control to be able to leave their balance for the next day in the account without worrying about spending it, as often it’s the amount in deposits that triggers SOW, rather than the PNL of the account. I do think the UK market is a difficult one - I was really quite annoyed when they took bonus buys away because I didn’t play too often, but when I did I loved buying bonuses even though I would buy them on a smaller stake. My only ask though is that no matter how frustrating it is no one turns to Curacao/Crypto casinos. I won’t sit here and say that no one ever gets paid out by those casinos, but many of them don’t allow UK players and it’s almost a guarantee that if you hit a big win and they find out you’re UK you’ll never get the money. I like the bonus buys on stream - like Will said, we all play for a bonus and no two person’s base play is the same either, so we all want to see what the bonus is like. But sometimes I prefer to see bonuses where you’re guaranteed a bonus, rather than the gamble ones where you could spin for a while and get nothing - €800 gone within about 5 mins on Vikings Unleashed last night! It’s nice to mix it up though, and Friday usually doesn’t have bonus buys and there’s not too many on a Sunday unless it’s been ages without a bonus. I know I’m biased, but I think Will does a good job of catering to everyone, especially with the 5 on 5s 🙂 A lot of people do also have complaints about the amount of mods in Will’s steam, and there probably are too many particularly given there’s no traction on Twitch, but each of the mods are incredibly supportive of Will both in and outside of the streams and I think it would be unfair to remove their spanner just because sometimes it seems there’s a lot of them. I would happily give mine up if I thought people would be less bothered by the amount but as I do some stuff behind the scenes I have to have it. Worth noting too all of the mods watched before becoming mods so they are people who watch, and so are other streamers although yes, some make some absolutely blatant attempts to self-promote. We’ve had profiles made 1 hour ago come into the stream to say they’re going to watch someone else, and it’s clear it’s the person or someone involved with them doing it - it is frustrating, but unfortunately if we delete those comments we give off the impression that we don’t support other streamers. @Angry Slots no one has ever thought you’re self promoting 🙂
  17. No one is interested in what you have to say. Literally no one. This is the problem with spending your time being an internet troll, you think people are trying to “cancel you” or silence you when in reality they just don’t want to listen to the extended rants of someone with a strangely personal agenda against someone they’ve never met. Freedom of speech is not freedom from the consequences of your speech. In your limited time on the forum you’ve said Will looks like an addict, called me a silly cow, called me fat, been rude to Charlie and Derek, made remarks about having a physical altercation with Will and now Chip, and called Low Stakes Slots “whoppers” for playing on low stakes. No one has the time or energy to read your deranged rants. You’re an adult. Act like one.
  18. I once tried to buy a rug for £80 off Next and it got declined and the bank contacted me to make sure it was legit. I can only assume in far corners of the world there are fraudsters who’s homes are covered in beautiful rugs.

    End of Lockdown

I didn’t know that @Batters61, I’m so sorry to hear. That must have been really awful, particularly during lockdown. I hope you’re doing okay, and you’ll always have fond memories of both of them xx

    End of Lockdown

Well, I know we're all scattered over the world but I'd say for most of us we're seeing the end of Lockdown and the return to normality. Hopefully this is the return to the way things were and everyone can begin to move forward. How did everyone find Lockdown? I'll be honest I wasn't horribly affected by it - I work from home and don't really drink very often or go out, I'm happy to stay home and watch Netflix most nights 😅 I've also had my first vaccine dose now. The only way it really affected me was in how much I was able to see Will. Before Christmas we were able to fly back and forth in the odd weeks where restrictions were loosened, but since January I've only been able to see him twice for a week, which is infuriating when he's only 2 hours away! As we get to the end of Lockdown, is everyone comfortable with their gambling? I know a lot of people seemed to gamble more frequently, or potentially higher amounts during Lockdown. Truthfully, as long as you stay within your overall spending limits, I think it's up to us to decide where we're comfortable. None of us were able to pay to go out for meals, nights outs, holidays etc, so if you felt yourself spending that little bit extra gambling, as long as you had enjoyment in the midst of what was a very hard time, and didn't suffer, then I think that's fine. Be mindful now that Lockdown is ending though that we probably will all start spending more money in other areas of life again, so it's important not to pass those spending limits, and it's important not to pass up opportunities to see friends or family just to stay in and gamble that money - balance is important. If you feel that you have lost control during Lockdown, you worry how you'll manage moving forward, or you feel that you need someone to speak to you can visit BeGambleAware, check out GAMSTOP if you're in the UK, or you can message @Hideous or @2Jags or myself. Hope everyone has been ok over the past year, I know it's still not fully over but as I said, I think we are all starting to see the road to normality ahead and hopefully it won't be too much longer.
  25. Ok, I'm gonna let the fact that I feel targeted over the Monopoly comment slide 😅 I have loads that never pay me but I still like them - when I used to use Videoslots I always had a good laugh looking at my individual game RTP. Stacked Fire Sevens always hated me, and Goonies never liked me either! Games I won't play... Probably the really high variance ones. I like Pop and Millionaire by BTG, but most BTG, Nolimit & Megaways additions I wouldn't usually play often. I give them all good reviews because they are honestly smashing games but I'm just too impatient to wait for a bonus haha. Back when we had bonus buys though Extra Chilli and Temple of Treasure were always my fave 🙂 Oh and I hate Genie Jackpots Megaways. Screw that shit.
