First Impression

Chilli Heat Spicy Spins is a notable addition to Pragmatic Play’s ‘Chilli Heat’ series, but it doesn’t have the wow factor that comes with the Megaways mechanic from the previous release. The base game is rather bland in comparison, lacking sourceful, action-packed features or just general excitement, for that matter. 

When a software developer creates a unique slot series, each release needs to be bigger and better than those before it. Sadly, in this case, Chilli Heat Spicy Spins doesn’t top the likes of the previous highly anticipated Megaways instalment, apart from a slight top-up in max win potential.

Alternatively, this game has redeemed itself (somewhat) during the Respins Feature, where gameplay follows a similar algorithm to Push Gaming’s iconic Retro Sweets and Retro Tapes (cluster link) instalments. 

Our only argument is that the 25 grid positions limit our ability to connect and apply bigger payouts and multipliers, unlike the generously sized grid of the aforementioned Push Gaming releases. 

Nevertheless, connecting up to 25 Money Icons will implement a staggering x800 Multiplier, which seems a little hard to believe. It’s easy to get ahead of yourselves in this feature, especially when you get off to such a good start, yet it can just as easily go downhill from here onwards.

As mentioned above, Chilli Heat Spicy Spins includes a comfortable max win potential of 10,000x your bet, which is a definite step up from its predecessors; however, its sub-par features and mechanics are not quite as desirable as those in the series.
