Being a bounty hunter would be an interesting life, and one that comes with its own pros and cons. As a bounty hunter, you would be exempt from certain legalities that law enforcement agents must adhere to – like warrants and probable cause. On the other hand, you wouldn't be given the same protection that law enforcement agents are given.
For this reason, it takes a certain kind of person to be a bounty hunter – one that, according to Nolimit City, is ruthless in their pursuit of anything or anyone with a price on their heads. Today, Nolimit City are bringing back their favourite gunslingers as they leave their boxing gloves in The Cage and introduce us to Bounty Hunters.
With RTP options up to 96.07% (96.24% xBet), this extremely (10) volatile release can produce wins up to 52,310x bet.
Bounty Hunters paints quite a simple picture, as we're in a western state on a cloudy day. The sky lights up a pale lilac colour, as the desert ground below is barren of all but some dead plants, trees and a distant home. One of our gunslingers – the female – stands to the left of the reels with her gun in her holster.
Aside from this, a variety of relevant symbols sit on the reels, including sticks of dynamite and guns. Finally, a suitably western tune comes in to tie it all together, helping to set the scene.
Bounty Hunters Base Features
Taking place across 5 reels, wins are formed on Bounty Hunters by matching at least 3 symbols on adjacent reels, beginning with the leftmost reel. Each reel holds 3 symbols, producing 243 ways to win. Symbols available begin with non premiums, with 10s, Js, Qs, Ks and As, awarding wins between 0.20 and 0.25x bet for 3 of a kind matches, increasing to values between 1 and 1.25x bet for 5 of a kind wins.
At the premium end we have rope, dynamite, necklaces, cigarettes and bullets, and guns, awarding wins between 0.30 and 0.75x bet for 3 of a kind matches, increasing to values between 1.25 and 5x bet for 5 of a kind wins.
Finally, gold pistol Wild symbols are available to substitute for all regular paying symbols, awarding wins of 5x bet for 5 of a kind matches.
There are a few things to cover in Bounty Hunters, beginning with xBet, wherein by betting an additional 200% the chance of triggering each of the features is increased.
Symbols payouts are unaffected when using xBet, and in the 96.07% setting, RTP increases to 96.24%.
Bounty Hunter Wild Symbols
Next up are Bounty Hunter Wild symbols, which can land on reels 2, 3 or 4. When a Bounty Hunter Wild lands in view, it will always nudge up or down to be fully visible and cover the entire reel with xNudge.
For each nudge made, it increases its multiplier by +x1.
If more than one Bounty Hunter Wild lands in view, their multiplier values will be added together to give a total value, displayed above the reels.
Few Dollars More
If a fully stacked Bounty Hunter Wild (completely in view with no need to nudge) lands on reels 2-4, the Few Dollars More feature is activated.
The Bounty Hunter Wild is then locked into place and a respin is awarded. If another fully stacked Bounty Hunter Wild lands in view, another respin is awarded.
There are Scatter symbols and Bonus symbols available in Bounty Hunters. Bonus symbols can land on reels 1 and 5, whilst Scatter symbols can land on reels 2-4.
By landing a Bonus symbol on reel 1 and 5 of the same row, Mexican Standoff is triggered.
During Mexican Standoff, all other rows other than those the Bonus symbols landed on are deactivated, and the active row will respin. The triggering Bonus symbols remain on the reels and become sticky Wilds with x6 multipliers.
If Bounty Hunter Wilds or additional Bonus symbols (which can land on any reel during this feature) land in view, they too become sticky Wilds with x6 multipliers and an additional respin is awarded.
All multiplier values are multiplied to the total win multiplier above the reels during Mexican Standoff, which is then applied to the spin value of any respins.
Bounty Hunters Bonus
Land 3 Scatter symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 to trigger Raid Spins. During Raid Spins, reels transform into 4 wide and 5 tall. In this reel area, Thugs and Bosses can land.
Additionally, there is an area to the left, right and bottom with a Hunter on each side. Raid Spins start with 3 spins, resetting to 3 each time Thugs or Bosses land in view.
Thugs hold initial coin values between 1 and 25x bet. When a Hunter lands in a position level with a Thug (either left, right or below) it collects the Thug's coin value, adds it to the overall win multiplier and removes it from the reels. If a Thug is not collected, it moves onto the next spin along with its value.
Hunters have multipliers attached to them – these cannot exceed 12x. When a Hunter collects the coin value of a Thug or Boss, the value will be multiplied by the Hunter's multiplier before being added to the overall win multiplier. All Hunters only collect the coin value of the Thug or Boss closest to them.
When Hunters collect, their multiplier value will increase by +1 for the next spin. If the left or right Hunters do not collect in a spin, their multipliers will reset back to x1, whereas the bottom Hunter's multiplier will never reset.
Bosses hold initial coin values between 1 and 5x bet and will upgrade in the order they land – per row. The first Boss will add all values from existing Thugs and Bosses to its own value in a spin. The second Boss will add its own value to all Thugs in a spin.
The third Boss will select a group of Thugs that match in category and multiply their values by a multiplier starting at 2x. This 2x multiplier value will increase by +1x for each Thug selected.
Killing all Bosses will upgrade to Showdown Spins after Raid Spins are completed. Alternatively, Raid Spins will end when there are no spins remaining. When Raid Spins end, the overall win multiplier is awarded as a times bet value.
Landing 3 Scatter symbols with 2 Bonus symbols on the same row will trigger Showdown Spins. Showdown Spins behave in the same way as Raid Spins, except reels are 5×5 with the additional outer areas, and there is a new Hard Honcho Boss added to the centre reel position.
Additionally, 12 Thugs will surround the Hard Honcho Boss in a diamond – 8 of these will directly surround it, and the remaining 4 will be on the outer positions of the reel area.
The Hard Honcho Boss starts with a 6x coin value and behaves like any of the 3 previously mentioned bosses – this behaviour can change on each spin. If the Hard Honcho Boss takes on the behaviour of Boss 1, then its value will be increased accordingly and will not reset.
If the Hard Honcho Boss takes on the behaviour of Boss 2, then it will always add 6x value to all other Thugs. If the Hard Honcho Boss takes on the behaviour of Boss 3, this will remain the same as it does in Raid Spins.
When the Hard Honcho Boss is collected all remaining empty positions of the Thug diamond formation will be filled with Thugs ahead of the next spin. Showdown Spins will end when there are no spins remaining, at which point the overall win multiplier is awarded as a times bet value.
Players in appropriate regions can take advantage of the following Nolimit Bonus options:
- Mexican Standoff – 136x bet (96.07% RTP)
- Raid Spins – 100x bet (96.14% RTP)
- Showdown Spins – 850x bet (96.09% RTP)
- Lucky Draw (9/10 Raid Spins, 1/10 Showdown Spins) – 175x bet (96.09% RTP)
RTP values above are based on the overall RTP setting of 96.07%.
The maximum win available in Bounty Hunters is 52,310x bet (Revelations). If the sum of a single game round exceeds this, the game round will end and 52,310x bet will be awarded.
There's more than enough happening in Bounty Hunters – almost too much. Nolimit City are responsible for what many players regard as some of the most complicated games on the market, and Bounty Hunters is another one to add to that list.
In the base game, things are kept simple with xNudge Bounty Hunter Wilds helping to increase multipliers, xBet helping to increase bonus frequency (albeit for an additional cost of 200x bet) and the Mexican Standoff feature. This is all easily understood, yet offers more than enough excitement.
It's Raid Spins and Showdown Spins where things take on a life of their own and become a lot to handle. With Thugs, Bosses, Hunters, and even a Hard Honcho Boss in the latter, it takes a while to completely pick up on what's happening.
The good news is that you can get by without fully understanding – the basics are that Hunters are knocking out Thugs and Bosses and adding their values to the overall win multiplier, and everything beyond this you can just sit back and enjoy. When the right combinations occur, wins are possible up to 52,310x bet.
Finally, maths is extremely (10) volatile, and RTP options are available up to 96.07% (96.24% xBet), so as always it's worth checking this. If you're a fan of Nolimit City's more complex releases, you should enjoy Bounty Hunters.
