Remember that scene in The Dark Knight where Heath Ledger’s Joker said ‘and here… we… go…’? That’s what came to mind when seeing today’s release, and for good reason.
Nolimit City, a studio known for pushing the boundaries, is back once again to show us just how far they’re willing to push things. Having recently separated some of their releases into two distinct categories – Labs and Over the Limit – this team are making it clear that they don’t just push the boundaries in win potential and volatility – they do it in quirkiness too, in releases like Munchies and Outsourced: Payday.
Still, it’s the latter we return to today as we’re being treated to another Over the Limit release – a sequel to what originally prompted the title, I would imagine. That’s right, we’re revisiting our favourite Western town today, made famous in Tombstone, Tombstone RIP and Tombstone: No Mercy, and finding out how high the limit on maximum wins can go.
After El Gordo’s public death and humiliation, his daughter is seeking revenge. Determined to avenge her father by any means necessary, she’s setting the town on fire and taking down anyone who gets in her way. So, let’s leave behind the apocalyptic scenes of xWays Hoarder 2 and proceed with caution into Tombstone Slaughter.
With RTP options available up to 96.01% (96.15% feature buy), this insanely (12) volatile release can produce wins up to 500,000x bet.

Tombstone Slaughter Base Game
Just as you’d expect from this series, Tombstone Slaughter takes us to the Wild West – although things are wilder than ever, it seems. The town is in ruins, the skies are dark and smoky, and the characters seem angrier than before. The one thing you do see when you open the game is the win potential displayed as large as can be. Not exactly commonplace for Nolimit City, but with a claim this bold, who wouldn’t want to show it off?
It’s all very gritty and sombre, which is exactly what you’d expect from an unforgiving daughter seeking vengeance for her father. Compared to some of the other releases from this team, the whole picture is fairly simple, instead allowing the features – and trust me, there’s plenty of them – to speak for themselves.
A bold and haunting soundtrack comes in to tie the whole thing together – western enough to remind you where you are, and foreboding enough to remind you why you’re there.

Tombstone Slaughter Offers Players a Default 324 Ways to Win
Tombstone Slaughter Base Features
Taking place across 6 reels, wins are formed on Tombstone Slaughter by matching at least 3 symbols on adjacent reels, beginning with the leftmost reel. Reels hold 2-3-3-3-3-2 symbols, producing a default 324 ways to win.
Symbols available begin with non premiums, with 10s, Js, Qs, Ks and As, awarding wins between 0.10 and 0.20x bet for 3 of a kind matches, increasing to values between 1 and 1.20x bet for 6 of a kind wins.
At the premium end we have 5 Character symbols that fans of this series will recognise. Land 3 of a kind of any premium to see wins between 0.30 and 0.50x bet, increasing to values between 1.50 and 3x bet for 6 of a kind matches.
Finally, Wild symbols are available to substitute for all symbols except Slaughter Scatter symbols, but we’ll explain more on these below.

Any Spin Resulting in a Win Lower in Value Than the Base Bet Triggers xRIP, With No Payout Awarded
xBet
As is usually the case in a Nolimit City release – particularly an ‘Over the Limit’ one – there are a host of features to cover in Tombstone Slaughter, but we’ll start with xBet.
There are two xBet options for players to take advantage of in this release:
- xBet (1 guaranteed Slaughter symbol) – 1.20x bet per spin (96.10% RTP)
- xBet (2 guaranteed Slaughter symbols) – 15x bet per spin (96.17% RTP)
RTP values above are based on the overall setting of 96.01%.
When using either xBet option wins are calculated according to the base bet.
xRIP
Next up is xRIP, which crashes back onto our screens in the same series as it was first introduced.
In both the base game and bonus games, any spin where the total win awarded would be less than the base bet triggers xRIP.
When xRIP is triggered no payout is awarded.

Each xNudge Wild That Lands in View Nudges to Be Fully Visible, Incrementing Its Multiplier By +1 For Each Nudge
Sixth Reel
The sixth reel of Tombstone Slaughter has special properties and can only land limited symbols.
There are two symbol spaces present on the reel, but only the following can land:
- 2-high stacked Revolver symbol
- 2-high stacked Character symbol
If a symbol lands 2-high it behaves as normal, but if two half symbols land the reel becomes inactive.
There are no non premium symbols present on reel 6.
xNudge Wilds
xNudge Wild symbols can only land on reels 2-5.
Each time an xNudge Wild lands in view, it will nudge up or down to be fully visible.
For each nudge the xNudge Wild makes, its multiplier increases by +1.
When more than one xNudge Wild is involved in the same winning combination, their multipliers are added together before being applied.

Land a Full Revolver Symbol to Trigger up to 6 Cylinder Features
Quickdraw
The next feature to cover in the base game is the Quickdraw feature, which is triggered by landing a 2-high stacked Revolver symbol on reel 6.
When a Revolver symbol lands, it will reveal between 3 and 6 bullets.
Each bullet triggers one of the following Cylinder features:
- Backstab Wild – turns a random symbol on reels 2-5 into a Wild.
- Shootout Wild – turns all instances of a random symbol on reels 2-5 into Wilds.
- xSplit – splits a random symbol on reels 2-5, doubling its size, or doubles an xNudge Wild multiplier.
- Infectious xSplit – splits all instances of a random symbol on reels 2-5, doubling their size.
- Justice Wild – places an xNudge Wild at the position on a random Character symbol on reels 2-5, which then nudges up or down to be fully visible, increasing its multiplier.
- Boothill Multiplier – selects a random Character symbol and gives it a win multiplier between x5 and x999.
Possible Boothill Multipliers are x5, x6, x7, x8, x9, x10, x11, x12, x22, x36, x44, x45, x54, x58, x90, x310, x523, x718, x805 or x999.
The same feature can be triggered multiple times from a single Revolver symbol.
Slaughter Scatter
Slaughter symbols can only land on reels 2-5.
Landing 1 Slaughter symbol does not trigger any feature, but landing 2 Slaughter symbol will convert both of them to Reel Split Wilds.
After converting to Reel Split Wilds they will split themselves and all other symbols on their reels in half.
This in turn doubles the symbols on the reel.

Tombstone Slaughter xNudge and Revolver Booster
Tombstone Slaughter Bonus
Land 3 Slaughter symbols to trigger 5 Slaughter Spins.
During Slaughter Spins, reel 6 will always land a full Character symbol with a random win multiplier.
Possible win multipliers are x5, x6, x7, x8, x9, x10, x15, x21 or x99.
Alternatively, reel 6 can land a 2-high stacked Revolver symbol.
In addition to the Cylinder features from the base game, Revolver symbols can also trigger the following features in the bonus games:
- Killcount Multiplier – awards a multiplier between +1 and +89 to future levels or last level on Gordo’s Revenge Meter.
- Revenge Level Up – fills all spots on Gordo’s Revenge Meter to upgrade to the next level.
Possible Killcount Multiplier values are +1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55 or 89.
If Slaughter Spins are triggered with 4 Slaughter symbols then 5 spins are awarded with 2 spots filled in on Gordo’s Revenge Meter and an upgraded xNudge Multiplier for each Revenge Level of 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7, respectively.
Landing a 2-high stacked Revolver symbol on reel 6 during Slaughter Spins upgrades the bonus to Massacre Spins and awards an additional +2 spins.

Each Bonus Symbol That Lands During a Bonus Game Advances El Gordo’s Revenge Meter
Massacre Spins
Land 3 Slaughter symbols and 1 Revolver symbol to trigger 5 Massacre Spins.
If Massacre Spins is triggered from a Nolimit Bonus buy, the Quickdraw feature will not activate before Massacre Spins begin.
Massacre Spins contains the same features as Slaughter Spins, but the Revolver symbol on reel 6 is also sticky for the duration of spins.
The Revolver symbol will reveal a random number of bullets on every spin, triggering between 3 and 6 Cylinder features.
If Massacre Spins are triggered with 4 Slaughter symbols and 1 Revolver symbol then 5 spins are awarded with 2 spots filled in on Gordo’s Revenge Meter and an upgraded xNudge Multiplier for each Revenge Level of 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7, respectively.

Tombstone Slaughter Slaughter Spins
El Gordo’s Revenge Meter
El Gordo’s Revenge Meter is active in both Slaughter Spins and Massacre Spins, and sits at the bottom of the reels.
The meter begins at level 1 and can increase to level 5.
Bonus symbols can land on reels 2-5, with each Bonus symbol that lands being added to the meter to fill 1 spot.
Alongside this, an additional +1 spins are awarded for each Bonus symbol and the multiplier for future levels is increased by +1.
When 4 Bonus symbols have been collected, the Revenge Meter advances to the next level.
The next level will activate when all spins on the current level have been played.

During Massacre Spins a Revolver Symbol is Sticky on Reel 6

RTP options above are based on the overall setting of 96.01%.

Tombstone Slaughter Massacre Spins
First Impression
There’s plenty to love in Tombstone Slaughter, from audiovisuals to features to maths. Studios like this pushing boundaries not only offers players additional in-house options, but also encourages growth across the industry – this is clear to see in the years that have followed San Quentin.
Revolver symbols, Cylinder features, a Revenge Meter and multipliers up to x999 all come together to make this one an exciting entry into Nolimit City’s catalogue. Bonus modes are where things kick up a notch, but even outside of the bonuses you’ll find plenty to keep you on the edge of your seat.
There’s one obvious talking point – the maximum win. Capable of producing wins up to 500,000x bet, Tombstone Slaughter far outweighs every other release on the market in this regard, and even many jackpot releases too.
For such a potent figure, the frequency isn’t as harsh as you might think – 1 in 189,000,000 spins with the 96.01% RTP option, apparently. Contributing to this is xRIP, for sure – another feature that’s made a comeback.
Still, there’s no sense in just talking about this figure. Tombstone Slaughter is volatile – insanely so, according to the team, who have scored it 12/10. If you’re one of the lucky ones – and trust us, there will be plenty of those – you could be jumping for joy, but if you’re one of the unlucky ones, it’s clear that you could be feeling the full impact of this daughter’s vengeance, too.
This is even more true if you’re planning to take advantage of the Nolimit Bonus options, which include 3,000 and 5,000x bet options – topped only by Kenneth Must Die on this front. At the time of Kenneth’s release, plenty remarked on whether or not studios should be offering bonus buys with such high values. That seems a futile discussion to continue – studios like Nolimit City are going to continue to push the boundaries, and it’s up to us to decide whether we want to go along for the ride.
Finally, RTP options are available up to 96.01% (96.15% feature buy), so as always it’s worth checking this. There’s not much more to say on this one – it does the talking for itself, and undoubtably will show the results for itself soon enough too.
