New Online Slots
Every month, dozens of new releases hit the online slots market from scores of game studios.
Within these releases are a variety of new mechanics, features and themes, each immersing us into a new world every time we press spin.
With so many new slot releases, however, it's inevitable that we revisit some of these; like the number of games dedicated to the Wild West, or the number of book games out there.
We also get to see a lot of sequels, which work just like a movie sequel would – taking you back to the same premise you loved the first time for a whole new experience.
From the many sequels on the market, some stand head and shoulders above the rest, so here are our top 10 online slot sequels.
10. Max Megaways 2 – Big Time Gaming
First up in the number 10 spot is Max Megaways 2 from Big Time Gaming, sequel to the 2022 hit, Max Megaways.
Released in 2023, this one cements its place on the list by continuing the storyline, improving on aesthetics and offering new features that we didn't see in its predecessor.
Finally, by increasing the maximum win by nearly 10,000x bet this team ensured players would gravitate towards the sequel over the original.

9. Esqueleto Explosivo 2 – Thunderkick
You'll see a theme on this list – not every sequel in our top 10 is brand new.
This is true for Esqueleto Explosivo 2 from Thunderkick, which was released in 2020 – five years after the release of Esqueleto Explosivo.
After seeing success with the original, this team revisited these mechanics, improving on audiovisuals and massively increasing the winning potential.
Because of these improvements, and its ongoing popularity with players, Esqueleto Explosivo 2 gets the number 9 spot on our list.

8. Gargantoonz – Play'n GO
Arguably one of the most popular releases in the Play'n GO catalogue is Reactoonz, even 7 years after release.
Reactoonz is so popular that it's inspired a number of sequels and follow-ons, including Reactoonz 2, Gigantoonz and Dr. Toonz.
It's Gargantoonz that makes its way onto our list today, though.
Released in 2023, Gargantoonz became one of our top 10 sequels by returning to the basics of what made Reactoonz so popular in the first place; particularly after a few sequels that really turned things on its head.
With wins available up to 7,000x bet and stellar graphics, Gargantoonz is certianly one of our favourites.

7. Pirots 2 – ELK Studios
Some sequels come around more quickly than others, and this was certainly the case with Pirots 2 from ELK Studios, which came just 8 months after Pirots.
It almost felt like the team were so sure of Pirots that they got started on the second one right away, which is all the more impressive when you remember what a unique release Pirots was.
Offering a complete unique way to form wins and collect prizes, Pirots quickly became a favourite among fans, but Pirots 2 upped the ante even further, offering even more features and more volatility.
If you want to know the most original sequel on this list, it's Pirots 2; and it even led to Dam Beavers – another great release, but technically not a sequel.

6. Chaos Crew 2 – Hacksaw Gaming
Hacksaw Gaming come in at number 6 on the list with their 2023 release, Chaos Crew 2.
Revisiting Chaos Crew, which was released in 2020, this team made the smart decision of not taking anything away from the original, and instead added a few new features for players to sink their teeth into.
One example of this was the ‘Best Of' bonus feature, which allowed players to play through three bonus rounds and keep the highest win.
Additionally, Chaos Crew 2 offered players a variety of fun new tweaks and features, and a number of bonus buy options, which helped it to cement a place on this list.

5. Fire in the Hole 2 – Nolimit City
If you want to keep the core mechanics the same, what's the best way to hype up a sequel? Turn up the volatility, of course.
This is exactly what Nolimit City did with Fire in the Hole 2, sequel to Fire in the Hole.
Taking the perfect approach of keeping everything we know and love but turning it up to 100, Fire in the Hole 2 has quickly become one of the best sequels we've seen to date, a mere few weeks after release.
This release also offers one of the most extreme features of all games on this list – a 3,600x bet bonus buy which guarantees a persistent collector.

4. Royal Potato 2 – Print Studios
When Print Studios announced that they'd be bringing a sequel of their 2021 hit Royal Potato, they promised one thing – they would be changing nothing, but upgrading everything.
They certainly achieved this in 2023 with Royal Potato 2.
With incredible graphics, an additional 10,000x bet in winning potential, and new features including a super bonus buy, this team came out of the gate running with this sequel, and it wasn't long before players were requesting it over the original.
As far as sequels go, Royal Potato 2 gets no critique from us.

3. Razor Returns – Push Gaming
In third place we have Razor Returns from Push Gaming.
Razor Returns was one of the most highly anticipated slot sequels we'd seen in a while, and for good reason.
This team took everything that made the original great and enhanced it, offering huge winning potential, a variety of features, risky bonuses with lucrative rewards, and a number of bonus buys for players who can take advantage.
Scoring a perfect 10 in our online slot review, Razor Returns improved on every aspect of Razor Shark, including audiovisuals, which were a huge part of what made it such a perfect sequel.

2. Dead or Alive II – NetEnt
You knew Dead or Alive II would make it onto the podium, and it's rightly earned its number 2 spot.
Even now, 5 years since its release, Dead or Alive II is still one of the most hotly requested online slots in our live streams.
And as the true mark of a phenomenal sequel, its predecessor is rarely requested, so you know the second one is really good.
By upping the winning potential and offering bigger risk and bigger reward than ever, Dead or Alive II from NetEnt became a modern classic instantly upon release – and now it's just a classic.

1. Money Train 4 – Relax Gaming
Coming in at position 1 is Money Train 4 from Relax Gaming.
It may not have been the first sequel from this series – by the time this one was released we'd already received Money Train 2, Money Train 3 and a few Money Cart releases – but it definitely made a bigger impact than the rest.
This release did pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a sequel – turning the heat up on all of our favourite features, adding in some new, more exciting mechanics, and upping the maximum win to incredible heights of 150,000x bet.
Money Train 4 also scored a perfect 10 in our slot review; we do those from an objective point of view, but in my personal opinion, it's earned the number one spot on this list.
